Photovoltiacs

Photovoltiacs or PV uses light from the sun to create electricity. Photons excite the electrons in the cell causing them to spin off down copper wire creating DC or direct current. Because we use AC or alternating current in our homes, this direct current must run through an inverter to change it to alternating current that we can use and feed back to the grid. Because of Gears purchasing power and status as a manufacturer, we have access to virtually every solar panel available in the market today. Panels come in various sizes, wattages, and efficiency levels. Gear closely monitors the PV industry for module efficiencies and prices, to make sure that we can customize a system to suit your needs as well as your budget.
